What is a podcast?

A podcast is a series of media files on the internet that you can download, listen to or watch, and subscribe to, so that you automatically receive updates and new episodes. All computers, many mp3 players, and a growing number of phones are capable of subscribing to these files so that you have an easy way of keeping up to date and listening, even on the go.

What should I expect in River of Life's podcast?

River of Life is now podcasting to be able to present you with an easy way of accessing our weekly sermons. Whether you missed a service because you were sick, or if you just want to hear a certain sermon again, you can find them here.

How to Use Podcasts

To subscribe to a podcast means you're computer or device will automatically download the most recent files or episodes.

Two common media players that support podcasts are itunes and zune. If you have either of these programs, you can click on their respective icons above (on the left bar), and it will automatically subscribe you.

If you have another program that supports the subscription of podcasts, copy this URL: http://www.rolcf.org/podcast.xml To copy, simply right click and select copy shortcut (in windows). Then go to your media player, and consult the help file to see where to paste the URL of a podcast to subscribe.

If you do not have a program that supports podcasts, you may simply return to this page and click on recent episodes to download manually, or you can download itunes for free at http://itunes.com
